Just be transparent

For this year the most famous designers have created transparent dresses of every fabric, color and shape.
The see through effect is often stylish and elegant but can, if exaggerated, appear vulgar.
All of us can wear a transparent dresses, women of all ages and physical shape … just by choosing the one that suits us better.
Here are some examples of pieces that have catwalked in the SS and FW 2012 collections.

Following there are photos of us to show how we interpreted this trend at Sara’s  eighteenth birthday. We celebrated this event in a historic restaurant in Milan, the 4Cento,an old restructured farm that offers a beautiful location for such events.

Per quest’anno gli stilisti più rinomati hanno creato abiti trasparenti di ogni tessuto, colore e forma.
L’effetto ‘vedo, non-vedo’ è spesso raffinato ed elegante ma può, quando esagerato, risultare volgare.
Tutte noi possiamo indossare un abito trasparente, donne di ogni età e forma fisica… basta scegliere quello più adatto a noi.
Ecco alcuni esempi di pezzi che hanno solcato le passerelle nelle collezioni SS e FW 2012.

Di seguito proponiamo alcune foto di come noi ragazze abbiamo interpretato questo trend al diciottesimo compleanno di Sara, abbiamo festeggiato questo evento in uno storico locale milanese, il 4cento, una vecchia cascina restrutturata che offre una location splendida per eventi di questo genere.

First, we apologize for our temporary absence … between trips, tests and other school commitments the blog had to overshadow = (
We will work hard for this to happen as little as possible!

I (Sara) have been in Berlin, a beautiful city , perhaps too modern for my taste.
We stayed in a beautiful hotel, right in the center of the city. Every day was dedicated to visiting museums, monuments and historic villas.
I highly recommend to those who visit the German capital to go to the Pergamon Museum, where the architecture and classical sculptures leave you speechless. Moreover, the wall is something extraordinary, cause of so much pain in the past, today is a proper art work.

The only flaw: I’m afraid that the Germans do not love much the Italians, on some occasions they made that very clear. -.- ‘

Come prima cosa ci scusiamo per la nostra momentanea assenza… tra gite, verifiche ed altri impegni scolastici il blog è dovuto passare in secondo piano =(
Ci impegneremo affinchè ciò accada il meno possibile!

Io (Sara) sono stata a Berlino, città splendida, forse troppo moderna per i miei gusti.
Abbiamo alloggiato in un albergo bellissimo, proprio nel centro della città. Ogni giornata era dedicata alla visita di musei, monumenti e ville storiche.
Consiglio vivamente a chi dovesse visitare la capitale tedesca di recarsi al museo di Pergamo, dove l’architettura e le sculture classiche lasciano senza parole. Inoltre il muro è qualcosa di straordinario, causa di tanto dolore nel passato, oggi è una vera e propria opera d’arte.

Unica pecca: ho paura che i tedeschi non amino molto gli italiani, in alcune occasioni ce lo hanno fatto intendere molto bene. -.-‘

While in the past fashion used to affect only women’s wear, year by year men are getting more and more influenced by fashion trends. You agree with us?

Mentre nel passato la moda interessava principalmente le donne, anno dopo anno gli uomini sono stati sempre più influenzati dai trend del momento. Siete d’accordo con noi?

All pink trend

A couple of years ago (in 2009),  some stylists proposed some total-pink looks in their collections. This trend required a while to appear in the streets, but now we can often see men wearing pink.

Un paio di anni fa (nel 2009) alcuni stilisti hanno proposto dei look total-pink nelle loro collezioni. Questo trend ha impiegato un po’ di tempo per apparire nelle nostre città, adesso però abbiamo diversi esempi di uomini che amano vestirsi di rosa.

The same happened with the military-style jackets, in 2009 they “marched” in many catwalks and now we have many examples of this trend in our streets.

Lo stesso è accaduto con le giacche stile militare, nel 2009 hanno “marciato” in molte sfilate adesso lo fanno nelle nostre strade.

Platforms

Apart from women’s classic wedges, these platforms stand out for their originality. They aren’t exactly feminine but sometimes we have to go for it!   Which ones do you prefer?

A parte le classiche zeppe da donna queste si distinguono per la loro originalità. Non sono esattamente femminili ma qualche volta è bello anche rischiare!    Quali preferite?

Can’t Wait for Spring to Come

Neanche un mese fa Milano era coperta di bianco, adesso la primavera sta lanciando i suoi primi segnali di arrivo! Di conseguenza abbiamo messo via i giacconi pesanti e abbiamo tirato fuori gli abiti leggeri.

One month ago Milan was covered with snow, now spring is marking its arrive! As a consequence we have put away our warm coats and we took out our spring clothes.

Scommetto che una delle domande che ci poniamo quando vediamo le foto di modelle/i è: “Ma saranno veramente così belle/i?” Abbiamo avuto la fortuna di incontare diversi modelli in giro per la città, o meglio: la sfortuna… la nostra autostima è caduta sotto le scarpe! Guardate con i vostri occhi.

I bet that one of the questions we ask ourselves when we see photos of models is: “Are they really so beautiful?” We spotted some models around Milan during fashion week and shot some photos… unfortunately for us they are absolutely breathtaking… and our self-esteem received a big blow!
